Honestly speaking, this Fair was the most boring fair I’ve ever had, but it turned out pretty well for me. Not because of the activities or the attractions or the silliness of being caught. (Heck, my arms were clean this year). It’s all because I spent it with good friends. *smile*

I finally got to know my friend’s girlfriend. She’s pretty, smart, and caring. *wolf whistle* That ought to be what a girlfriend should be, and I’m glad that my friend lured in a good catch from the sea of women. *wink*

I didn’t get to do much during the fair. The most I did was play ICE with the guys. Ended up with a good kill record. *YEAH!* Also, I got a pair of shoes for 250 bucks. Since when did shoes come that cheap?! Also, I got to decorate it. 250 na nga, original pa ang design! *laugh* Also, I got to play Assasin, the game from Gossip Girl. *sigh* Lost the game.

Anyways, I really have nothing much to say. The only regret I have is that I didn’t splurge on the wicked clothed on sale that time. *sigh* There’s always a next year, even though I’ll be an alumni by that time. *laugh*

Yep. The Japanese can only get more crazy than that.

Aside from being incredibly cruel to such cute and flippery and slippery marine mammals, they’re filled with ammonia. Eww.

So, obviously, you’ve never had an appetite for dolphins. I’m just here to make sure you never do.

You could say that our feast looked like this… except that all of the dishes were either sinangag (fried rice) or pancit (noodles). Even then, all is good when you have two sections with huge@ss lechons. I swear. All the fats I shed during the Fiesta presentation were filled twofold in an hour.

WTF? How could a guy that needed a translator win Lakan ng Wika? I have nothing else to say. Congrats to him though. Also, I wanna give a hand to my classmate, Paolo Mendoza, for winning Third Place. GG!

Buwan ng Wika: Pahiyas Festival

The Pahiyas Festival of Lucban, Quezon Province is the Province’s most popular festival. It is celebrated every May 15th, at the end of the harvest season, as a thanksgiving to San Isidro Labrador, the patron saint of farmers.

One of the famous images provoked by the name Pahiyas is the decoration of the houses that line the parade route in a technicolor of fruits, vegetables, rice wafers, and ornaments.

Our class, in celebration of the Buwan ng Wika, a celebration of the Filipino language, has been tasked in replicating dance of the Pahiyas in the Sylvia P. Lina Theater. As shown in the video, it won’t be easy.

A show consisting of free flowing arm movement, heavy foot stomps, and acrobatic feats, a rehearsal would knock the heck out of you. Hopefully, this does not happen in stage.
